VIDEO: Bacardi factory’s 50mph bottle roller coaster

When I took a cruise in January, I considered touring the Bacardi factory in San Juan. I opted instead to hang out at Old Harbor Brewery, the only microbrewery on the island, but that doesn’t mean I was going to just forget about Bacardi. Thankfully Ultimate Factories decided to pay them a visit, so you can still see part of the process.

While I never support wasting alcohol, it would be pretty funny to see an accident on that bottling line. Those things are whipping around so fast that it could be catastrophic. It’s also interesting that they rinse the bottles with rum. It’s perfectly logical; it just never really occurred to me.
