VIDEO: Man vaporizes and inhales vodka
Colin Joliat Nothing makes you feel like a man quite like a “do it yourself” project. If that endeavor happens to be to vaporize vodka, you’d not only feel pride, but so would all of mother Russia. That’s exactly what this guy did. I can’t tell where he’s actually from, but it’s vodka though, so he automatically gets assigned to Russia.
For those curious, yes, vaporizing alcohol is a real thing. It actually made it’s way into a few bars, but as far as I know the concept has been abandoned. I’m already in NYE part mode or I’d consider doing a little bit of research for you. Instead, let me share a conversation I had with a friend about this particular topic back in April of ’08.
Matt: We should make beer noodles, Top Ramon and boil it in beer…it might taste surprisingly good.
Colin: I’m all for it, can you drink boiled beer?
Matt: I haven’t tried. I would imagine that you can, now will it get you drunk is another question. I think this calls for an experiment. An experiment that you could post on your website.
Colin: Yes…great plan…that’s happening this weekend. Then again..the one thing we know is that the alcohol will boil off…kinda defeating the purpose
Matt: That is known. What if you set up a diffuser?
Colin: Look Matt, I don’t have Mr. Wizard chained up in my basement anymore.
Matt: You capture the steam and then cool it in a separate container…then drink the beer steam. Then it might be the most concentrated beer ever, or you might just get sick and vomit.
Colin: Didn’t they try vodka vaporizers in NY for awhile and people were dying?
Matt: I have no idea, but that is going to prompt an internet search.

Colin: Awesome; I want one bedside.
Matt: No kidding, hangover free is a big selling point.
Colin: Banned in 21 states…minor pitfall.
Matt: Oh really, I hadn’t read that far. Do we live in or near by a state where it is legal?
Colin: Banned in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wyoming.
Matt: But from their web site it looks like I can have one shipped to me…course it costs 300. Also, keep in mind I live pretty close to Mexico.
Colin: I don’t think it would work well though….apparently 20 minutes = 1 shot, what the hell is 1 shot good for?
Matt: Oh shit, I hadn’t read that. That is not time sensitive enough
Colin: I want 1 minute to = 1 shot
Matt: That is a better ratio
Colin: I cant be rollin’ around looking for chicks with a breathing tube up my nose
Matt: that would be great, instead of an oxygen tank you have an alcohol vaporizer.
