Wine shelf collapses and breaks 6,800 bottles
If my memory serves me correctly, I have somewhere around 20 bottles of wine in my apartment right now. For a NSFW explanation of why from Katt Williams, you can go here, but the important thing is that I wouldn’t be happy if those 20 bottles all of a sudden broke. I can’t even imagine if 340x that many broke.
Unfortunately that’s exactly what happened at Superior Discount Liquors in Sheboygan, WI. I guess it’s back to just beer and cheese in Sconnie nation for awhile, so if you run into any middle-aged women, be careful, they are probably cranky.
With bottles ranging from $3.99 to $149.99, this is going to take a bite out of the bottom line. Most liquore stores have 30 days before they have to pay for their inventory, but this is likely going to take a lot longer than that to earn back. Admittedly I have no knowledge insurance works for an alcohol warehouse, but hopefully for their sake it’s covered. At least they seem to be in good spirits about it given that they were the ones who posted the video. If nothing else they could probably make a ton of glasses out of the broken bottles and try to recoup some of the costs.
It’s honestly cringe worthy. I’m not a huge wine drinker, but even I can’t stand seeing all that delicious booze going to waste. The rats will be drunk tonight, that’s for sure.
