Break-up Notifier makes Facebook stalking as easy as receiving email
Everyone who’s single — and some people who are taken — has a “watch list” for the opposite sex. (Or whatever they’re interested in.) You can’t believe Girl You Think Is Hot is still dating Dude Who Is a Giant Douche and you probably spend 10 minutes or so a day checking around on Facebook to find out if they’re still dating.
Well, Break Up Notifier (at breakupnotifier.com, no less) is here to save you a little time, by giving you an email alert whenever one of the people on your “list” breaks up with their significant other.
Here’s how it works: you go to the site, you log-in with your Facebook account, you pick a list of people you want to, ahem, “follow” and then Break-Up Notifier cranks out an email to you whenever one of those people ends their relationship.
The danger here is that you’re leaving Facebook. And while they have serious privacy issues, it’s at least not in terms of user-to-user ways. Can you imagine if you got an email from BUN telling you that “Uber-Creepy Dude From College That Always Seemed to Know What Kind of Shampoo You Were Using is waiting to find out when you’re single!”
Or, even worse, can you imagine if the site sent that same email to one of your buddy’s girlfriend’s? That would be REALLY awkward. Unless she’s a big hoo-ah. Then you might get laid out of the deal.
The great news, though, is that now you can spend infinitely less time sitting around and refreshing the profiles of people you’re interested in, which means that time can more be spent learning the appropriately creepy voice for telling someone to put the lotion in its skin.
