Better Bacon app makes you a breakfast god
Bacon is trendy right now, but that doesn’t mean that it ever stopped, or will ever stop, being delicious. And it can also be tricky to prepare: bacon has a lot of fat, meaning it can be difficult to cook properly if you want to get, say, a perfect crisp on it. And what about the many different kinds of bacon?
Fortunately, there’s a digital cookbook to help you out.
Yes, the title The Better Bacon Book sounds like it should be in the Barnes and Noble discount bin, but what you actually get for your $5? 20 high resolution videos and 150 detailed photos, hosted and curated by Tom Mylan of The Meat Hook, one of Brooklyn’s better butcher shops. This is a guy who takes apart whole animals into the parts you actually want to eat on a regular basis, so he’s trustworthy on the bacon front.
And, more to the point, you’ll be able to cook with this wondrous meat. Or at the very least, torture your girlfriend’s annoying vegan friends. Bacon is the gateway meat for many obnoxious vegans to become tolerable human beings again, so use the recipes in this book for good.
