Robber calls Wendy’s to complain about lack of money to steal
I’d imagine the old phrase “beggars can’t be choosers” would apply to people committing robberies too since they’re pretty much just beggars with guns and a lack of politeness. But one robber proved that yes, they can be choosers, since he called a Wendy’s he robbed at gunpoint to complain. Twice.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the man came into an Atlanta-area Wendy’s wearing a ski mask and wielding a gun Saturday night. After receiving the register drawer and the money inside, he escaped before police could arrive.
Not too long after, the unknown robber called the Wendy’s and said, “Next time there better be more than $586.” He then called a second time to reiterate his message because, you know, people aren’t often inclined to listen to people who robbed them at gunpoint hours earlier.
The robber is still at large. Which is good because if there’s one thing you want, it’s to find a way to make the lives of people working at Wendy’s even more miserable. They’ve been leading lavish lives of making greasy food and being paid minimum wage…about time someone took them down a peg.
