A video of people cutting a watermelon in half with rubber bands has been making the rounds this week. Obviously that meant it should be re-shot and filmed in slow motion.

People are inexplicably fascinated by the destruction of perfectly good fruit. How else could Gallagher, both white and black, have been a mainstay of the comedic world for so long? Apparently none of you had mothers waiting in the wings to remind you that there are people starving in Africa. Then again, as Sam Kinison pointed out, maybe they wouldn’t be starving if they moved to where the food was. You know what? I’m with Sam. Let’s start destroying more fruit!
