The most unhealthy fast-food french fries in America
Earlier today we gave you the top ten fast-food french fries in America. The questions immediately started pouring in about which fries were the most unhealthy. Here are your answers!
Most Unhealthy French Fries
- Chick-Fil-A – Waffle Fries
- Rally’s – Seasoned
- McDonald’s
- Arby’s – Curly
- In-n-Out
- Jack in the Box – Waffle
- KFC – Potato Wedges
- Wendy’s
- A&W
- Five Guys – Cajun
The entries are comprised only those that were on this morning’s list. So if you’re thinking of ones that you know are grease bombs but aren’t on there, that’s why.
My logic was fairly unscientific. I ranked them 1-10 based on calories and fat, and then summed the two numbers. Look, I’m not Bill Nye, OK?

Obviously some fries come in varying sizes, so to make things equal I took the data based on a serving size of 110 grams. That was about the average size for a small. Obviously in cases like Five Guys, who dumps a cup full in a bag, refills the cup, and sticks that in the bag too, it doesn’t matter what these numbers say if you eat the whole thing. Another note on Five Guys. There was no data available for sodium in the cajun fries. Given that the seasoning is comprised of a ton of salt, that cute like 41g number is way off. Hence the Mark McGwire next to it.
