It’s a wild, wild world out there if you’re Googling for a recipe. The safest bet is using something like the Epicurious or Food Network, but if you’re stuck without, the gnomes at Google are doing their best to help you with “recipe search” options.
Witness above — a search of “chicken parmesan” not only lands a pile of recipes that’s pretty difficult to sort through. Yes, you can trust the Food Network, but maybe it’s a different style of recipe (from a weird cook) or maybe it’s a really fattening version of chicken parm.
Just hard to tell — until now.
Because, as you’ll also notice, there’s a pile of search options in the left column. Most notably “cook time,” “calories” and “ingredients.”
Want to keep your recipe under 300 calories? Done and done.
Need to whip this puppy up in less than an hour? Easy as pie, son.
Don’t want mozzarella cheese on your chicken parm? NO PROBLEM, YOU SPINACH-LOVING HEDONIST.
But you get the point — no longer should your desire to cook without actually owning a recipe or a cookbook be hindered by different websites’ ability to create strong SEO.
No, sir, now Google is freeing you peruse even the weirdest and smallest of sites when you go to slap together your dinner for the evening.
