Yes, if you’re looking for all the fun and hilarity of the roaring 20′s combined with the nostalgia of your late-night, youthful trists with a pair of Italian plumbers all packed into an 8-bit game that you play online, look no further than this bad boy.

Or perhaps you just like throwing top hats at Wilfred the butler. Either way, cruise on over to GreatGatsbyGame.com and you can play it.

The most curious thing is that the owner of the site claims to have found the game at a yard sale, even though, as far as I know, it’s not a game that was every put out by Nintendo. (The owner of the site also points out that it’s an released localization of a Japanese version of the game named “Doki Doki Toshokan: Gatsby no Monogatari.”

That sounds like 100 percent fakiness, but who am I to judge? Also, I have a buddy whose mom works for Nintendo, and he’s gotten free, unreleased swag for quite some time, because she’s testing it out. That’s just how it works.

Anyway, it’s good news because it’s fun, and it means you don’t have to be single to spend Valentine’s Day beating ceaselessly [into the past].

UPDATE: I just beat the game, in like five minutes or something, so I’m pretty sure that it’s either a 1) very short demo or 2) total fake. I don’t care that much, because I still enjoyed playing, but it seems pretty safe to say that — given the short nature and some of the ridiculous animation that went on inside the game — it’s not an actual Nintendo release. I’m willing to be proven otherwise, though, if someone wants.

What'd you think of this?
