I guess this Ariel Atom 500 V8 is considered a car, but I’m not really sure. I mean it has four wheels so I guess that makes it a car. What I do know is that I’d really like to have one.
The F1 inspired “mini-space shuttle” is powered by a custom V8 powerplant that is based on two Suzuki Hayabusa blocks mated to a 6-speed sequential gearbox. The Ariel Atom 500 also features carbon fiber panels and aerofoils, an integrated function steering wheel, F1 style wings, magnesium wheels and four-piston Alcon brake calipers.
Yes, I want a vehicle that I can call a mini-space shuttle with 500 horsepower that costs around $160,000. Yes, I do.
