Since I’m a bit backed up, how about a smattering of random game related pics from the past few days?

Apologizes for the lack of video game coverage for the past couple of days; was at PAX Prime, which completely knocked my ass out, plus I got the nerd flu, which is par for the course for such things (being on West Coast time has also thrown out of my game). Anyhow, expect a steady stream of show related posts over the next few days.

Though I’m still trying to gather my notes, so till then, how about some odds and ends that went down during? Like Jo Garcia, who recently posted a wallpaper of her, covered in assorted game related paraphernalia?

… Hate to nitpick, but the Photoshop artist could have maybe tried a little bit harder. I’m pretty sure Google Images is able to pull up something else other than the box to Ocarina of Time. Anyhow, multiple sizes are available here.

Moving on, and I totally forgot to mention it at the time: last week was the Super Nintendo’s 20-year birthday! Which prompted all sorts of celebratory retrospectives and the such. Instead of whipping up my own, since I’m way behind schedule as is (plus the bottom-line would be: sorry, but the Genesis was better), I’ll just post one of fave from someplace else, which are assorted SNES titles redone as classy Criterion Collection releases…

… To be honest, it’s hardly anything new, and there’s been plenty of better examples, but I really dig the one above. The rest can be seen here and here.

Hey, remember the Nintendo hotline? If you were stuck in a game, you could call a Game Counselor and they’d give you the help you needed? This was before the internet of course. But these days, due to the internet… and via Reddit…
