Megan Collins When Guyism asked me to write about all things men’s lifestyle, I jumped at the chance. And not just in the hopes of one day being featured on Guyism After Dark (a college-educated girl with no daddy issues can dream!). Over on Style Girlfriend, my men’s style blog, I give advice on the daily about what us ladies like to see you fellas wearing. Here, I’m dishing out the female POV on clothes and more.
Let me get this out of the way now: I’m not always going to tell you what you want to hear (No, you cannot pull off anything with a crucifix on it unless you’re a priest. And even then, it’s kind of overdone. // And sorry, chicks aren’t impressed by the autographed Manning jersey above your bed.), but I’m not some male-bashing man hater who gets her kicks by putting you down. So please take my counsel in the way it’s intended – as a loyal wingwoman who wants nothing more than to help you land pretty girls.
So what do I like? I like when a guy puts in effort, even if I might not agree with the results. I don’t like when guys wear their jeans skinnier than I do, and I don’t want him to be prettier than me either. I want his place clean, but I’ll leave if he tells me to use a coaster. A guy who looks and acts like a guy – one that didn’t pick a shirt up off the floor this morning, take a whiff and pull it on with a shrug, but also one that didn’t spend a half hour in front of the mirror perfecting his ‘casually’ rolled-up sleeves.
