corter leather Make Good: Corter leather straps for Japan

Corter Leather is a one-man company based out Boston, Massachusetts run by Eric Heins. Everything he creates is handmade by him and only him in a one bedroom studio. Talk about making the best out of your space, right? Well, he (like many of us) watched as the images of the destruction that Japan made their way to our televisions and computer screens. Instead of staying mum on the subject, he decided to act the only way he knows how.

Heins has created leather straps in various lengths to help raise funds to aid Japan. They’re $20 each and all proceeds to go the Red Cross. You can read more about him in his journal and you can purchase the straps in the store.

They the straps aren’t showy and they’re far better than those bright ass faux-livestrong bracelets everyone used to wear. Make difference and buy one. It’ll be the best $20 you’ve spend this year.
