On Wednesday, we continued our coverage of the investigation of the disappearance of missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 with another new theory put forth by aviation expert Jeff Wise, author of the book The Plane That Wasn’t There.

In his theory, Wise suggests hijackers could have altered the signals that provided Flight MH370’s location data to make it appear that the plane was flying south, when in reality it was instead being flown north and may have landed in Kazakhstan – the same country where 50 years ago a UFO was sighted at an experimental Soviet missile range and has been the site of repeated UFO activity since.

This article caught the attention of a man named Ismail Hammad, Chief Engineer of the EgyptAir Maintenance And Engineering Co.

Hammad wrote to us with what he believes to be an explanation for not only how Flight MH370 disappeared, but where it could possibly be located today.

Among the technical and circumstantial observations Hammad made in his nine-page breakdown are a theory that a picture published right after the plane’s disappearance of MH370 pilot Zaharie Shah and his family reveals a clue to the location of the missing plane – somewhere in the Philippines.

“If the pilot of the plane, Captain Zaharie Ahmed Shah is the one who planned, and carried out the hiding of the aircraft from radars and human eyes as rumored, I think he leaked to us a coded message symbolizing the place of hiding in the first pictures was leaked to the world for him in [his] home,” Hammad writes. “That the drawing on the sofa is symbolizing to an archipelago.”

He also wrote…

For this aircraft, the best place for hiding in the south east of Asia all over is the group of eastern islands, that because I believe that The hijacker (whoever he is: one of the 2 pilots, one of the crew or one of the passengers) will not find in the north, south or west direction a landing place suitable for this time program that ends with landing just before the first light of the day. but he will find his target destination in the East direction, and he will arrive with the first light of the sunrise to the Philippine archipelago of 7641 islands can choose from them what it fit him to land, especially the group of eastern islands which form the basin of the Sulu sea and which are the first ground that will meet the plane with the first daylight after flying overnight over the “South China Sea” closing to its sea level, such as the island of “Palawan”, “Mindanao”, “Badian”, “Negros” as well as the Sulu archipelago and its largest island “Jolo” till the east of Kalimantan or Borneo island at the end of this archipelago which if the hijacker decided to land and hide in it that would have been a smart decision because the follow of the northern part of this island to the State of Malaysia itself. And the overlap of the border lines in this area between 3 countries which makes it a blind area for the Air Traffic Control and these countries are Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippine, also the border lines between the many provinces of this island especially the provinces of The North and The East Kalimantan which are located on the eastern side of the island directly on the coast of the sea so the landing between them may have been the easy and incredible choice especially for the availability of the forests and the large number of swamps there.

So I think that the search in these islands should be in the abandoned airports and the roads which are suitable for landing, taking into account the inevitable occurrence of the overshooting for this large plane on the short runways of these local airports or the old military airports since the second world war. so the search for the plane must also cover the terminals of these runways and the roads especially in the swamps and the areas of the forests and the bushes.

Additionally, Hammad points out that wreckage found, supposedly from Flight MH370, shows no “signs of damage” or “bending, dents, sooty appearance or the dark discoloration due to the explosion of the tanks.” He also takes issue with the fact that photos of the wreckage show no signs of being “in the salt water of the ocean for months.”

Below is the area in which he believes the pilot attempted to land the plane and where any further searches should take place.

“On the circumference of this circle we find a band passing over the following countries: south of Indonesia, Maldives, India, Nepal, China, Taiwan, and then archipelago of Philippines which consists of massive numbers reaches 7641 islands, so it is the best for disappearance,” he writes.

Hammad also shared several potential landing locations he believes where the hijacked plane would have gone mostly unnoticed as it attempted to land.

His conclusion is that because the World War Two-era airstrips he suggests could have been used were designed for much smaller planes, Flight MH370 more than likely overshot the runway and did, in fact, end up in the ocean. Just not where authorities have been searching.

As for why Flight MH370 diverted from its original flight plan? That, like pretty much everything else associated with this mystery, is still unknown.
