Man gets hit with a million dollar speeding ticket
A man in Switzerland has been hit with the most expensive speeding ticket of all-time after being caught driving his Mercedes SLS AMG at over 180 mph. No word yet if the man was just trying to catch Swedish bikini team’s bus.
The 37-year-old, who has not been named, was clocked driving his Mercedes sports car at 170km/h over the limit.
Sure, the guy was only traveling 105 mph over the speed limit, but a million dollar speeding ticket seems a bit excessive if you ask me. You certainly don’t buy a car like an AMG and not see how fast the horses under the hood can run. But I want to know how the hell the cops even caught this guy? They’d have had to be in the space shuttle to run him down.
Under Swiss law, the level of fine is determined by the wealth of the driver and the speed recorded.
Really? That’s kind of a strange law. What happens if they caught an Amish guy tearing thorough the back roads of Switzerland in an old school buggy? Take one of his horses? Just seems a bit unfair that somebody could pick up a seven figure ticket, even if the guy is probably loaded beyond belief and can probably easily pay the fine.

“No, I really don’t know how fast I was going when you pulled me over. I was more or less concentrating on perfecting my Dale Earnhardt impression. How’d it look?”
