The Xbox Dashboard is undergoing some changes and MS needs all the help they can get, including yours. Provided you qualify of course.

Though according to Major Nelson, Microsoft’s community outreach figurehead, “your chances of making it in are good” due to how they’re looking for “multiple thousands of participants.” And what for exactly?

As noted, the dash is going through yet another major revamp, to accommodate an “updated Xbox 360 disc format.” But since all signs point towards it being compatible with current software, it’s probably just some fancy new form of copy protection.

And for your trouble, you get a free copy of Reach! Either one they have just lying around the warehouse, or one utilizing the new copy protection algorithm, who knows at this point.
