I wish their customer service/sales staff was a little better, but other than having them try to gouge me and make me harass them into giving me a better deal, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed their product.

Tomorrow could get a little dicey though, as Sirius and XM are changing their entire channel lineup.

You probably know this if you use Sirius and/or XM, because they’ve been mentioning it like crazy in between songs. And, it’s worth noting, I think it’s kind of a rebranding thing, as they appear to have a new logo, one that no longer separates the two companies (and has a “SXM” as the shortened version).

So, you probably would like to know what the new channels are. You can get them here. I’d just drop them in this post, but they’re literally changing everything and that would take way too long.

Why? Well, I believe it’s because they’re attempting to synchronize the two services, which have heretofore been listed differently (like, as was pointed out to me by Joe Ovies today, a Sirius Channel, say Jam On, might be 81 when the exact same channel on XM is 56). That seems like something that might be a problem long term.

So they’ve got that going on, and while the move is happening, you may be getting some cross-transference. This will result in either ectoplasym leaking out of your stereo or your Jam On station only playing Pearl Jam.

Apparently, all you need to do is turn on your radio and do what you normally do in order to update. For car owners, this probably means sitting still for a few minutes while it updates. For home radio peeps, just fire it up.

In the meantime, feel free to join me on Twitter (@willbrinson) as I inevitably complain about a product I love when it’s not working the way I want it to tomorrow.
