Every man’s personal grooming arsenal should have some sort of electric razor or beard/hair trimmer. Doesn’t matter if you can’t grow a beard to save your life. It’s worthwhile to have. The i-Stubble from Conair for Men is a great choice to fill that void.

Growing up I was the kid with a moustache at 10 years old. Maybe it’s the Cuban blood, but I was shaving at 12 years old and shaving my whole face a year later. It absolutely the one thing I hate doing the most out of my daily routine. It’s just a hassle. Once I figured out that I didn’t have to shave every day, life got easier and my beard trimmer became my best friend. But like anything, not all trimmers are made equal.
Recently, I had the opportunity to try out the brand new Conair for men “i-Stubble.” Its purpose is to easily allow men to keep their 5 o’clock shadow at a maintainable length. It has a digital length display which is actually quite helpful for keeping your beard (or stubble) at a uniform length. There’s no more worrying about how long a “3″ is or cutting your beard too short. The trimmer can go as low as 0.4mm to as long as a short, trim beard (it has 15 settings total). You set the length yourself. Its motorized head means there’s no fear of accidentally breaking or snapping the trimmer when adjusting it.
It’s ergonomic design makes it easy to trim the hairs on the edges of your face, something a normal beard trimmer can make difficult. The head of trimmer has some give to it, so it’s a smoother cut than most trimmers. It’s lowest setting, however, wasn’t low enough for me (this is totally personal preference). I think I would have rather it given me a slightly closer trim. I do think that it’ll be super useful for that Fall/Winter beard I like to grow out (as I’m really anal when it comes to keeping my beard trim).
The i-Stubble could also be great for a little “man-scaping,” if you will. Sometimes our chest hair becomes unsightly or too long. With the warmer temperatures approaching, it’s always nice to keep things neat and tidy under the shirts. Because of how the head of the trimmer gives with the contours of your body/face, it will certainly make it easier to trim hairs in places that the sun doesn’t shine as much.
The i-Stubble retails for $59.99 and is hitting stores this month and next month. If you’re in the market for a new trimmer, I think you should seriously consider this. I find it worked better overall than my normal beard trimmer and the head glided smoothly over my face. Granted, it left a little more stubble than I would have liked, but what doesn’t work for me, may be perfectly ok for you.
