Never be lost tying a tie again with TieSight
Thankfully, we as a society have advanced beyond the point where a grown man is expected to dress like a Croatian mercenary from the 1600s every time he wants to go outside. Yes, that’s who started literally centuries of misery, chafing, and tacky novelty products. Thanks, Croatia. Anyway, now the modern man is only expected to wear a tie at funerals, all-day meetings, professional mixers, weddings, and other boring and depressing formal ceremonies that only the people at the center of attention actually care about. Which leads to a conundrum: how do you actually knot the damn thing? Technology to the rescue!
TieSight is an app you can download for your Mac that basically gives it the job of knotting your silk noose. Using the camera, the software has you position yourself properly, and then uses simple cues and geometric shapes to tell you how to get the thing knotted.
The best part is that you get to choose your level of dorkitude; do you want to go for the basic knot that everyone uses, or really sell that line of B.S. about your school days at Fancy British Boarding School and go for the full Windsor, or maybe you want to go for the aptly named Pratt? It’s up to you! We recommend going with the simplest knot possible, because, let’s face it, that thing is not staying on your neck a second longer than it needs to.
Equally useful is the TasteSight, that informs you that no, the fish tie is not appropriate to be wearing to your boss’ mother’s wake, and the FistSight, which lets you spot the perfect place to slug the guy in the five thousand dollar suit making fun of your fashion sense.
Welcome [TieSight]
