The Campus Socialite Blitz & Beatz Tour 2010: Penn State University
After attending last weekend’s kickoff of the Blitz and Beatz at the University of Pittsburgh I thought it couldn’t possibly get any better. Not only did The Campus Socialite prove my theory wrong, they took it to a completely new level. With major buzz in State College surrounding the weekend I knew I was in for a weekend filled with pure madness. How can you really go wrong with a killer concert on a frat house lawn, a Big Ten prime time game with conference title implications on the line and some of the hottest college girls in the nation?
I rolled into Penn State on Thursday night with the rest of The Campus Socialite crew. After a near death experience driving through a huge storm dominating the Northeast, it was fair to say we were ready to see what the “Top Party School” really had to offer. After pre-gaming in the hotel we bounced around to some frat parties that were the definition of a sausage fest with more drunken man hugs than ever necessary, but I did manage to get some dime pieces number which paid off throughout the weekend (three times exactly but whose counting).
Being in State College I had to start the day off on Friday at a local landmark- the Waffle Shop. After feasting on eggs and some pretty delicious waffles, I headed to campus to check out how these PSU girls look without a case of Natty in me. To make the day that much better, I was given a box full of VIP bracelets with strict orders to only give them to hot chicks on campus….tough life I know.
I headed to the Delta Upsilon house around 5pm to see how things with production were going. In coordination with The Campus Socialite, Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi put together a pretty badass weekend starting with a concert featuring the Super Mash Bros, G. Curtis and Rock Comedian Brian Smith.
Being a professional college partier I have seen some great concerts on campuses around the country- with this show ranking right at the top. Rock Comedian Brian Smith debuted his Penn State song that is sure to be the new anthem of the University, G. Curtis put together a set filled with instant hits across the board including the jam “Falling Up”, and Super Mash Bros showed why mash-up hits are the new revolution in music with them leading the way.
After kickin it backstage with Brian Smith, G. Curtis and Super Mash Bros. I headed out with the rest of my crew to a night of pure debauchery. With Penn State being a huge house party school I was praying not to run into the same meatfest jungle from the previous night. My prayers were answered once I walked into the first party at the Sigma Chi house that was loaded with girls who were looking to make their daddy’s proud. The night only continued to get better with pure bangers at frat houses all along Greek Row. I headed over to SAM towards the end of the night, which turned out to be a great move. As I tried to find a spot to take a leak, some blonde chick stumbled into me and kept telling me the same story over and over about how she lost her camera and her friends…at least that’s what it sounded like as I was locked in on her fun bags the entire time. Being the gentleman that I am, I decided to solve her problem and take her home so she wouldn’t have to “walk alone”.
After a rager concert, chillin backstage with the artists, hitting up four fraternity parties and drinking enough Georgi to kill a small horse I woke up feeling like death (at least I had the girl from the night before to ease the pain which just so happened to be in my balls at that very instant). After awkwardly making up an excuse as to why I had to leave her house immediately after round two, I took the walk of shame back to my hotel room. For me the walk of shame is a great thing- it proclaims to the world that I got absolutely hammered and laid last night, you have to love double standards.
The Campus Socialite put together a huge viewing party at the Delta Upsilon house on Saturday night for the Penn State vs Iowa game. With the house packed out with PSU fans and free food provided by local vendors it provided the perfect environment for an away game, to bad Iowa smoked the Nittany Lions. After the game people were looking to drink their sorrows away from the ass kicking so we headed to a classic Penn State watering hole the Gingerbread Man. This was the perfect way to end the weekend with the rest of The Campus Socialite crew and the Penn State students we managed to add to the crew throughout the weekend.
Overall, I had an awesome weekend at Penn State and would recommend visiting the school to anyone looking to have a wild time. As well, after this weekend I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone making a trip to one of the campuses for this years Blitz and Beatz Tour. Make sure to check back in next week as I recap this week’s stop on the tour, the University of Michigan. Keep living the dream…
