VIDEO: Best man eschews words for ‘Time of My Life’ dancing toast
At least 75 percent of wedding toasts are absolutely lame/cheesy/etc. Another 10 percent are vulgarly offensive enough that someone’s grandmother cries. And another 12.5 percent are hysterical. But what about that last 2.5 percent?
Well, that’s where “Rivas” — a best man who’s likely to have gone viral by this time next week — comes in. See, Rivas, in doing his toast at a destination wedding, pointed out how lame so many of the world’s wedding toasts are, and then proceeded to bust out the most aggressive and awkward dance to “Time of My Life” (stupid dance version) that’s ever existed.
As you can see, Rivas isn’t some guy with rhythm, soul, etc. He’s a stocky white dude with a goatee whose dance moves would make Mark Madsen proud. And he uses them to shred his way into the hearts of everyone at the rehearsal dinner.
As Jimmy Traina pointed out, warning: his date, who appears to be filming this, is a touch annoying. But not as annoying as a boring wedding toast.
Note to the gentlemen involved in the upcoming Brinson wedding: if you can convince a certain groomsman whose name begins with a “Z” and ends with an “eke” to do this instead of saying something that will cause my grandfather to disown me, I’m all bouty-bouty.
