White after Labor Day
Even the least fashion conscious guy knows the “No white after Labor Day” fashion rule. It’s based around the principle that you should wear seasonally appropriate clothes. It is a well meaning rule that we kinda think is bullshit. You can definitely wear white after Labor Day, the key is to not look like you are headed to Diddy’s White Party. White denim and chinos can be worn year round when surrounded by seasonally appropriate pieces. For example, a tweed blazer is a fall/winter staple. Every guy that lives in a location that has all 4 seasons should have one solid tweed blazer in his closet. They can easily be dressed up or down and white denim helps ward off “nerdy college professor” vibes they can give off. White jeans also pair well with chambray or denim shirts as the contrast keeps you from rocking the dreaded Canadian tuxedo. Below is a look that would be perfect for a casual Friday or a date.
