Carmelo Anthony 2006: Carmelo Anthony involved in brawl with Knicks at MSG

We rarely turn back the clock here on Guyism but this whole Carmelo Anthony to New York trade got us thinking about his greatest moment at Madison Square Garden. It was just four short years ago that Anthony backpedaled himself into infamy as the Nuggets and Knicks got into one of the biggest brawls in NBA history.

Of course, the ringleader of the brawl was none other than former Knicks coach Isiah Thomas who allegedly told Mardy Collins to deliver a message to the Nuggets. Ironically enough, it now appears that Zeke is the man behind the scenes pulling the strings for the Knicks organization and who is ultimately responsible for getting Melo to the Big Apple.

Ahh, the memories.

It’s been years so Knicks fans may not hold a grudge against Carmelo now, but I heard Jared Jeffries still wants a piece of him. And “Marshmellow”, I’m sure he’s got his dancing shoes ready to go.

What'd you think of this?
