$4 million dollars worth of cocaine found at home of Puerto Rican boxer
A house owned by Puerto Rican boxer Ivan Calderon was raided earlier this week and DEA officials seized 500 pounds of cocaine worth over $4 million dollars. Of course, Calderon claims to have no knowledge of the illegal dealings going on, in what he claims is one of many “investment properties.”
Ah yes, the Mike Vick defense. Haven’t heard that one in awhile.
The house was raided earlier this week following the arrest of an alleged Puerto Rican trafficker who has been charged in Miami with smuggling cocaine into the U.S. through the Dominican Republic.
We’ll reserve judgment for now, but suffice it to say it’s not looking good for Mr. Calderon, who’s arguably one of the most celebrated boxers in Puerto Rican history.
He started his career undefeated through 34 matches before finally losing back-to-back times to Giovanni Segura. Calderon recently fought three weeks ago in Puerto Rico against Felipe Rivas and won for the first time since last June.
