Angry Birds teaming up with the Philadelphia Eagles

Matt Hawkins Contributing Writer, Video Games

Those pissed off avians are back, with yet another game on the horizon. So comes next, after outer space? The NFC East apparently.

Just announced is a Philadelphia Eagles branded version of Angry Birds. It would seem that the folks at Rovio (the makers of the game) have determined that not enough football fans are in their customer base.

The Philadelphia Eagle himself will be a character, which might explain why that particular team was chosen. Or is it because they’re really good? I have no idea; I’m just the video game guy after all.

But what if you’re not an Eagles fan? Well, as The Wall Street Journal points out, Rovio is well aware of the other bird-themed teams in the NFL, as well as those in the NHL, MLB, and NBA.

What'd you think of this?
