
Before the season, if I asked Tigers fans what the two biggest concerns were for the season, they would have said…
1) Starting pitching
2) Bullpen
Well, in the first two games of the season, each has played a significant role in their losses. Justin Verlander couldn’t even get out of the first inning on Opening day en route to a 12-5 loss and after Edwin Jackson pitched a gem in game 2, the bullpen came in and threw it away.
0-2 to start the season and dare I say, the worse is yet to come?
Let’s hope not. I’d like to watch meaningful baseball for at least a couple of months.
