Avril Lavigne 309x174 Avril Lavigne drops f bomb at Rays game

The Tampa Bay Rays were forced to apologize to fans after Avril Lavigne inadvertently dropped an expletive during a performance Saturday night. Lavigne’s microphone malfunctioned for several minutes and as she headed backstage she expressed her frustration–”f%$kin happens at a baseball field”. All in all, not that overwhelming from the punk rocker. Nonetheless, the Rays want a family-friendly atmosphere at the park and dropping f-bombs certainly isn’t one of the ways to go about it.

“The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers and we are extremely disappointed by the language used in last night’s show,” Rays spokesman Rick Vaughn said in a statement Sunday. “It is not consistent with the family-friendly atmosphere that Tropicana Field is known for.”

Yada, yada, yada—here’s the audio of said f-bomb.
