BAD DAY FOR DETROIT SPORTS

lions 1 1 BAD DAY FOR DETROIT SPORTS
For once you could make an argument that the Detroit Pistons looked worse than their counterparts, the Lions.

As many expected, the Lions laid another egg at home with barely anybody watching. Daunte was uninspiring in his debut and Drew Stanton could barely pull his body off the turf long enough to finish a play.

The 38-14 drubbing probably could have been worse considering the Lions scored late in that game.

All in all, it was a ho-hum Sunday for Lions fans.

But Pistons fans, well, we’re not used to seeing this type of garbage. I can’t point to a single moment in Sunday’s game where the Pistons resembled a baskeball team let alone a competitive one.

Turnovers, missed layups, blown defensive assignments.

I hate to say it as a long time Piston fan but it was truly one of the worst regular season performances in recent memory.

To top that off, Rodney Stuckey left the game with an injury and never returned.

One would hope that a coach could bring this team together and scrap some wins while the chemistry issues worked themselves out.

But frankly, Michael Curry is probably not capable of that. I hate to beat that drum but the Pistons will regret putting him in as head coach.

I’ll try to erase this Sunday from my memories for right now…

What'd you think of this?
