Ben Roethlisberger engaged to Ashley Harlan?

Rumors are circulating that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is engaged to a woman named Ashley Harlan. Who Ashley Harlan is remains to be seen as pictures of her have yet to surface thus far on the internet. Given the stealth-like capabilities of bloggers, the over/under is about 6 hours so stay tuned.
Asked point blank today if he was engaged, Mr. Roethlisberger declined to answer, except to say he wouldn’t talk about his private life.
The young woman is being named on blogs and Tweets, but Post-Gazette attempts to reach her have not yet succeeded.
Information developed by the newspaper shows her as a graduate of Laurel High School, where she was a softball star, and a 2008 graduate of St. Francis University in Loretto, Cambria County, with a bachelor’s degree in health science, and, a year later, a master’s of physicians assistant.
If the rumors are true, that’s a hek of a turnaround for Roethlisberger who was mired in sexual assault scandals for the better part of 2009. But as we’ve seen before, the man is apparently an extremely swift and smooth operator. Our best guess is that the proposal took place in a bathroom–he does his best work there.
