Bobby Knight is a lot of things.

A mean SOB…sure
A demanding coach that sometimes went too far…absolutely
A guy who isn’t afraid to speak his mind…you’re damn right

But you know what Bob Knight is not? A man who lacks integrity.

He didn’t cheat to get players, he made damn sure his players went to class, and he did his best to make sure his players graduated.

John Calipari on the other hand? Well, the man has coached at two school priors to Kentucky. And coincidentally, both schools went on NCAA probation.

Here is what Knight had to say at a fundraiser for the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame

“We’ve gotten into this situation where integrity is really lacking and that’s why I’m glad I’m not coaching,” he said. “You see we’ve got a coach at Kentucky who put two schools on probation and he’s still coaching. I really don’t understand that.”

To put it bluntly, Calipari is what’s wrong in college sports. And too many coaches in college basketball have gone the “PC route”, not speaking out against fools like Calipari while they did things the right way.

Maybe now, after Knight’s call out, you’ll hear some of his peers speak out against his antics. But that would take some brass cajones…something that hasn’t been seen Knight’s days at Indiana.
