Boxer arrested ringside for flipping off crowd
Two weeks ago during a match in Montana, a boxer named Brock Aleksich flipped off the crowd twice when they cheered for his opponent, Bobby Moreno. After the first incident, police officers went into Aleksich’s corner and warned him not to do it again, lest he incite a riot from the crowd. Not long after though, in between the 2nd and 3rd round, Aleksich removed his gloves and did it again, much to the dismay of officers. At that point, he conceded the match and was promptly arrested ringside for a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.
“There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.”
-George W. Bush
