Brett Favre Wrangler commercials no longer run on NFL broadcasts

A. Isaac Senior Editor

Wrangler continued to run Brett Favre ads through last weekend despite several reports of shady sexual activity. But as of yesterday, those commercials are no more during NFL broadcasts. Whether that was a decision by the league or by Wrangler themselves remains to be seen.

Via Darren Rovell of CNBC:

Something clearly changed this past weekend, as Wrangler either replaced the Favre spots with spots using its other high-profile spokesman Dale Earnhardt Jr. or ran the Favre spots on niche channels.

Here’s one of the commercials in case you hadn’t seen it before. All in all, much ado about nothing. Now if Favre had been pitching a day at the spa with some massage therapy, then maybe, I’d tread cautiously.
