No, I’m not an old curmudgeon who thinks young whipper snappers need to keep their egos in check. In fact, I prefer a guy show a little confidence in himself, even if he is only 18. That said, he’s not really endearing himself to fans or his own organization by blowing kisses to would-be meatball throwing pitchers. And I’m sure his teammates didn’t appreciate it either, knowing full well they would be a recipient of a pitch inside sometime in the near future.
