Carmelo Anthony chillin with a panda is your WTF picture of the day

If you think following athletes on Twitter is a waste of time, well in general, you’re probably right. Most have nothing of value to say and a brief glimpse into their pseudo celeb life reveals that they really aren’t that interesting.

That said, there are a few hidden gems here and there. Yesterday, we highlighted Gilbert Arenas and his uh, how shall we put this…classification of female conquests. It wasn’t as much interesting as it was misogynistic and perhaps a little vulgar…but I digress.

With the NBA on the fritz, players are looking overseas to hone their game. NBA stars Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony have both said they would enjoy playing in China. Which, of course, explains this picture of Anthony with an adorable panda.

If you look closely, Carmelo is wearing gloves, presumably to protect himself from disease, urine, feces, etc. Now, maybe it’s just me, but if I was asked to wear gloves while handling a wild animal, I’d probably think twice. Then again I’m not cool enough to hang out with exotic beasts so my opinion on the matter is fairly worthless.
