We turn our attention away from the Lakers getting swept and the Bulls winning a crucial Game 5 last night to bring you this important, yet insanely odd nugget of information. Carmelo Anthony owns a camel.

Now, if Anthony played for a team like the Sacramento Kings, he could maybe keep the camel in a stable or something. But now that he’s a New Yorker, I can’t imagine there are too many places to keep a spit-fueled 600 lb beast. At the very least though, if Anthony’s on the road during the season, he doesn’t have to worry about leaving it water for a couple of days.

On a side note, as a child of Egyptian parents, I was often teased because of my roots during my early years. “Hey, how many camels does your family have…how long does it take your camel to bring you to school…does your garage have one hump or two? Yada, yada, yada. Well, um, screw you guys, Carmelo’s got one now. Aholes.
