Carolina Panthers Super Bowl playbook found at yard sale
A 2004 Carolina Panthers Super Bowl playbook along with some sensitive financial information was discovered by a fan at a Charlotte yard sale. 26-year-old Matt Rowell also stumbled upon some Kris Jenkins memorabilia, presumably from the big game.
“I enjoyed it for a week. I was like, you know what, this really belongs more to the fans than it does to me or for me selling it, because if I were to sell it on Craigslist or eBay or wherever, then that person may then sell it to the Falcons or to the Saints,” Rowell said. “It’s just stuff that you can’t, as a die hard fan you just can’t do that.”
And with that, we now have concrete evidence as to how the Patriots were able to win XXXVIII. Congrats Bill Belichick. Spygate was just a ruse to distract us from your real leg up on the competition.
