Chinese fans attack referee after suspicious calls

Fans of Zhejiang stormed the court and attacked a referee following a 96-92 loss to Shanxi. At issue was a lopsided foul disparity and a ejection. Here’s the wild video.

Elizabeth Cambage, one of the players in the game tweeted: “Fan attacked the refs last night after our lost, pure craziness!!” The Zheijiang PR team was hard at work issuing apologies: “Our club deeply regrets these actions, and offers sincere apologies to the referee and other parties.”

A pretty tame response for, “hey, sorry our fans try to beat you to a bloody pulp.”
