Chris Bosh and Carmelo Anthony will be on “Law & Order: SVU”
Last night, Miami Heat star Chris Bosh tweeted that he’ll be on an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU. But he won’t be appearing alone. He’s tag-teaming with his ol’ pal Carmelo Anthony as both will play themselves on the September 28th episode.
In the episode “Personal Fouls” (Wednesday, September 28 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC) a youth basketball coach played by Dan Lauria (“The Wonder Years,” “Lombardi” on Broadway) is under suspicion as a sexual predator. Mehcad Brooks (“True Blood”) plays Prince Miller, a fictional basketball superstar who was once one of the coach’s prodigies. Rapper/actor Heavy D plays Miller’s cousin and business manager, Supreme. Anthony and Bosh will appear in the opening scene and episode climax.
Television appearances are not foreign to the players. Bosh appeared in a 2010 episode of HBO’s “Entourage and Anthony’s show with his wife, “Lala’s Full Court Life”, debuted last night on VH-1.
This very well might be a lame attempt by Peacock execs to give SVU a little push at the beginning of the season. Since 2009, the show has been hemorrhaging viewers dropping all the way down to 8.9 million people. And seeing as how both players are unemployed, well, they have some time to pursue other endeavors.
