Cincinnati Enquirer sends Chad Ochocinco away with “CINCO G’BYE-O” headline

Chad Ochocinco is headed to the New England Patriots in exchange for future draft picks. In recent years, he’s begged and pleaded for a trade from the Bengals but it appears his on-again, off-again relationship with head coach Marvin Lewis finally reached a breaking point.

The city of Cincinnati seems pleased to see the malcontent wide receiver skip town. Here’s the headline from today’s Cincinnati Enquirer.

I certainly applaud the effort from the Enquirer for their NY Post-esque type headline, but I personally would have gone with the much more ethnic friendly version of “CINCO de BYE-O” or perhaps even a “hanging Chad finally falls”.
