Browns tailgate 309x207 Cleveland Browns charge fans to stand in parking lot

As a fan, I go to a game knowing full well the costs are absurd. Over the years, I’ve accepted the ridiculous $8 beer. And if I decide to indulge in some nachos, I’m more than willing to shell out an extra buck or two for cheese and jalapenos.

But charging folks for standing around at a tailgate? Well, how dare you sir.

Here’s a snippet of one woman’s tale at a recent Cleveland Browns game.

so as i headed to the pit to tailgate for the browns/bengals this past sunday morning i was beyond surprised to see that there was a network parking attendant collecting a “$5 pedestrian fee” from tailgaters to hangout in their parking lot.

essentially a $5 cover charge to walk through a parking lot – a slab of concrete.

when i was asked to pay the fee, i laughed, said no way, and walked away. but i didn’t get far… the attendant called a couple of cops over because there was a group of about 15 people (including my friend and i) refusing to pay.

As if the entire state of Ohio wasn’t the armpit of America, now we’re forcing poor Browns fans to pay five freakin dollars to stand in the parking lot. If anything, Browns management should get on their damn knees and give oral pleasure to every single ticket holder before kickoff.

Cleveland fans have been beat down enough. From Art Modell’s coward like flee in the middle of the night to LeBron’s insufferable “Decision”, these guys just deserve a break.

So on behalf of the entire Guyism staff we offer you a short message from our good friend Chuck Cecil…
