Cowboys.com is exactly what you thought it would be—a dating site

Cowboys.com is not home to America’s football nor a site to buy chaps, boots and saddles. No sir. Cowboys.com is now home to, you guessed it, male dating. Specifically, men who prefer the company of country living folks. Be it male or female.

On Tuesday, the site owner’s released this statement:

“We are extremely excited to have decided on a direction for this property,” Cleveland said. “Gay dating is a primary target for this website however, we will also serve the needs of straight daters as well.

“In understanding the traffic base, tens of thousands of visitors per month come to the website looking for a variety of things, dating is one of the most sought after searches. To finally be able to serve these visitors needs is a great opportunity,”

The story behind the Dallas Cowboys fumbling away this domain Romo style is quite hilarious. In what I can only imagine was the mother of all miscommunications, the Cowboys bidder at auction believed “275″ to be $275 and not $275,000. Yes, there’s a person out there who assumed he went to an auction for a measly few hundred dollars.

Upon that person’s death I sincerely hope his/her family has their brain donated to science. I’d love to know what’s going on in there.
