DETROIT TIGERS ON THE VERGE OF LAST PLACE

YouSuck DETROIT TIGERS ON THE VERGE OF LAST PLACE

I know people stopped watching the Tigers about a month ago and rightfully so….

They have been complete garbage this season. In spring training, what was once thought to be a World Series team is now barely hovering over 4th place in the division.

And if the Tigers aren’t careful, they may end up in last place.

The Royals are rolling through Comerica next week and if the Tigers don’t show up (sorta like what they’ve done all season), their 3.5 game lead over the last place Royals will be nullified.

The season has been a huge disappointment to say the least, but can you imagine if this team somehow ended up in last place?

That goes from disappointment to, stick my head in the toilet after someone takes a huge dump…

The losses in the second half of the season have been mostly on the pitching. A few days ago, trailing 7-0, the Tigers bats heated up and rallied a comeback sparked by Marcus’ Thames grand slam.

But someone forgot to tell Kyle Farnsworth about it because he lazily came in and gave up a Grand Slam himself.

Call me crazy but I’m pretty sure that trade didn’t work in Detroit’s favor.

Then yesterday, Fernando Rodney entered the 9th win a two run lead and couldn’t even record an out.

This team is an unmitigated disaster and frankly, I don’t believe they will recover anytime in the near future. You can make a strong argument that they have one of the worst pitching staffs in baseball.

A far cry from the 2006 team that put the fear of God in hitters.

What a difference two years make….

What'd you think of this?
