Dez Bryant kicked out of upscale mall for sagging pants
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver was kicked out of a Dallas shopping mall on Saturday. No, he wasn’t shoplifting and as best we can tell, he was not participating in any illegal activity. That is, unless his inability to wear the correct jean size is a misdemeanor—no, really.
Bryant was booted out because, according to police, his pants sagged too low. I’m wondering if there’s some kind of mathematical formula they follow to ensure that the rate of sagginess is directly proportional to a person’s height. But I digress.
A Tuesday police statement says Bryant and three companions were involved in an incident at NorthPark Center where security asked them to pull their pants up because their underwear was showing.
The Dallas Police Department said in a statement that Bryant and his friends were not in violation of a law, but that he was issued the warning for not complying with a police request.
According to the police report, Bryant used profanity and created a commotion when confronted, prompting the officers to escort the four from the mall.
“What the [expletive], you stopped me like I stole something,” Bryant was quoted as saying, according to the police report.
To make matters worse for Bryant, he is banned from the mall for three months. As in, there’s a picture of him at every entrance and if he tries to enter, rent-a-cops and guard dogs will attack him with all their might. Somehow, somewhere, I believe Paul Blart just cracked a smile.
