DID DETROIT NEWS WRITER MAKE UP A STORY ABOUT THE ANSWER?
Two days ago, Chris McCosky of the Detroit News wrote that Allen Iverson was banned from both the MGM Grand Casino and Greektown Casino in Downtown Detroit.
Allen Iverson has gone from being a one-man economic stimulus plan for the city’s downtown casinos to persona non grata. He has spent a ton of money down there, but recently he’s been banned from both MGM and Greektown casinos.
No doubt, that while Iverson was in Detroit, he and McCosky, how shall we say, butted heads a little.
It was McCosky who wrote not too long ago that Iverson’s teammates questioned his injury
His teammates were baffled, too. OK, he’s hurt, but why isn’t he coming around? Why isn’t he doing his treatment here with Arnie Kander? More than a few wondered if his absence wasn’t related to his benching, which, coincidentally or not, was announced the day after he twisted his back in a loss at New Orleans.
None of those teammates ever came forward and of course McCosky never revealed his sources but there were more than a few people who questioned McCosky’s motives.
And this morning, it was revealed that Iverson, is in fact not banned from those two Detroit casinos.
Spokesmen from the MGM and Greektown say they were unaware that Iverson was ever banned from their establishments.

As an outside observer, you might say that the “casino story” was probably just a mistake on McCosky’s part. Probably was fed bad information by some staff.
But when you couple it with the growing tension between Iverson and McCosky over the last few months, you begin to wonder that maybe, just maybe McCosky purposely didn’t dot his I’s and cross his T’s.
And just like McCosky did, I only supply innuendo and conjecture. I leave it to the reader to interpret the rest…
Isn’t that how us bloggers do it Chris?
