No, really. Three days after being served his release by the Seattle Mariners, the 34-year-old outfielder has found his way back onto the field. He’s still getting paid the same as his MLB days for his new work in softball.
This is why guaranteed money is so awesome for professional athletes; you don’t have to stay with the team and you can do whatever you want with it. It’s free money. You simply become a cautionary tale for mid-level franchises and walk away a rich man.
