Michael Barrett, the man convicted in the Erin Andrews stalking case has given a virtual middle finger to the four letter network. ESPN wants over 300k in various expenses for the Erin Andrews case and the publicity they had to inevitably deal with.

But Barrett’s lawyers have not only said that some of the charges are outrageous but that Barrett does not even have that kind of capital. I mean, you put two and two together here and it’s not hard to figure out that he has no money. He’s in jail, he lost his job, and he probably used all his money to pay for a legal defense (and expensive spy equipment). This man is essentially unemployable and given his age it’s a good bet that unless he writes a tell-all book of a peeping tom that somehow gets on Oprah’s Book of the Month club, he won’t make 300k for the remainder of his life.

Just drop it ESPN. Let this case die so Erin Andrews can get on with her life.

Speaking of Andrews, she is moving on from the glitz and glamor of Dancing with the Stars and working today’s Spelling Bee. Which of course means she’ll have to spend some time away with her rumored boyfriend Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Try getting the little kiddies to spell that one.
