erin andrews peephole saga 309x199 Erin Andrews sues stalker, hotel chains

The Erin Andrews peephole saga took another litigious turn as Andrews has now sued the hotel chains involved in the taping. Named in the suit is Marriot International and Radisson Hotels International. In the complaint, Andrews legal team claims that peeping tom Michael Barrett would call ahead and receive information about which room she was staying in.

“Not only did the hotels confirm that Ms. Andrews was intending to register as a guest, but they also released, without Ms. Andrews’ consent, her room number. The hotels then provided Michael David Barrett a hotel room immediately adjacent to hers,” the statement from law firm Greene, Broilett & Wheeler said.

I find it somewhat odd that the hotels were passing out information about Andrews like candy. I was always under the impression that athletes and celebrities used pseudonyms when they checked in.

Also named in the suit is Michael Barrett who is spending 2.5 years in an Illinois prison. While I understand why he’s being sued, I’m not sure if anything will ever come of it. The man is dead broke and will more than likely never find something outside of a minimum wage job the rest of his life. Feel free to garnish wages from his McDonalds drive-thru job.
