Florida has had its share of off the field problems with players this year and now apparently, their own broadcaster is joining in on the fun.

50 year old Steve Babik who has been calling games since 1987 is being charged in federal court with one count of receipt and distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

I don’t know what that all means but I’m pretty sure it spells P-E-R-V-E-R-T.

His attorney, Larry Turner, says Babik appeared in court Tuesday, pleaded not guilty and was released with restrictions. Turner says it was too early in his investigation to comment on the charges.

The University Athletic Association said Tuesday that Babik has been fired.

Good thing he was fired. The last night anybody needs is Chris Hansen showing up on their doorstep.
