VIDEO: Iowa coach Fran McCaffery throws chair in anger
A. Isaac A double-digit spanking on the road against Michigan State caused Iowa coach Fran McCaffery to meltdown. After picking up a technical foul, an irate McCaffery stormed onto the court to give officials a piece of mind. He then turned his anger towards his players, channeling his inner Bobby Knight and throwing a chair.
If Fran’s goal was to fire up his team after the technical, it didn’t work. Michigan State went on a 19-4 run over the next seven minutes and won the game 95-61—the worst loss in team history to the Spartans. But yea Fran, it was the officials not calling hand checks.
